April Schneider is a true reflection of her own work: charismatic, vibrant, creative and fun, bringing an eclectic flare to each project she works on. She began drawing houses and buildings at the ripe age of 6. She would sit in her room for hours at a time, quietly sketching and dreaming of someday becoming an architect. Perhaps she inherited her mother’s artistic charm or grandfather’s engineering skills that led her to seek such an imaginative and creative industry. Her true education began at Ryan High School in Denton, Texas, where she was a part of the Industrial Technology Club. It was throughout this time when she developed the skills of not only computer technology, but the true art of hand drafting. She was even forced to learn the technique of an architect’s penmanship, writing in all caps. This organization and club was known state wide as the best, winning 1st place in the I-Tech state competition year after year. After high school, April immediately began working in the industry while attending The University of North Texas. While she made the transition from an architectural role into a design role, she quickly realized that she would rather follow the interiors path. In 2008, she obtained her BFA in Interior Design and has been striving to pursue her design career since. During her time at UNT, she worked as an intern at a large hospitality firm and was awarded a scholarship from the Networking of Executive Women in Hospitality (NEWH) organization. Also in 2008, she met her Prince Charming (of course an architect) in a conference room, while working on a project together. She knew at that moment that this intriguing man would someday become her husband. They are now happily married and make the perfect ‘architect/ designer’ team, together sharing one another’s passion for innovative architecture and design. Together, Nathan and April have two boys, Hudson (4) and Lakeland (2). In her downtime, April enjoys spending quality time with her family, gardening, cooking, and hosting family and friends in their North Dallas home. Her main goal is to not only create beautiful spaces, but also build relationships with her clients and maintain them while doing so. She strives to make each project its own while working closely with her clients and exceeding their needs and expectations. Over the course of her career, April’s work has spanned from international boutique hotels to luxury homes of professional athletes.
